What is sustainability these days?

How Do We Try to Do My Bit in Our Everyday Life and Work to Leave Less Footprints?

Like you we enjoy nature and our surroundings. We enjoy the outdoors and adventures that involve nature. Surfing, Skiing, Biking and Hiking to mention some of the activities we do in our surroundings. We are alway looking at ways we can help leave less footprints.

We are a small business that hand crafted furniture.. We only make small amounts of furniture that we can physically make ourselves. So each piece is a custom piece that is made with the future in mind, Simple styles that you want to pass down through your family with traditional joinery that should withhold with time. Making little amounts of furniture per year will not add to landfill as it is a special piece that you will keep.

We try to source timber from a local miller and make. we have sources glues that don’t have chemicals. Using natural oils. Each piece is hand cut to save waste. What waste off cut timber we have we give to clients or friends for firewood to avoid landfill. We give our sawdust to locals to use on their garden, chickens or horses.

Even to the fact of not producing our own children has saved the environment. With our boys we have tough them about the earth and how they can do there bit to help it.

In our everyday life we recycle, reuse, reduce and repair. We live a simple life with furniture either that Lars has built, we have inherited or second hand. We are not big consumers, We tend to buy from the second hand stores or good quality products that will last. We value our time and adventures more than materialistic things. We try our best as there is only one earth.
